LCD Ready
"LCD-ready" indicates that the expansion board is "plug and play". Plug the LCD display directly into the LCD port of related "LCD-ready" expansion board.
* The 45 pin connector on the LCD-ready expansion board attaches directly to the Samsung screen.
* Backlight, 3.3v supply power, touchscreen and LCD signaling is all provided on that one 45-pin connector of the LCD-ready expansion board.
* The Samsung screen utilizes the LED driver circuit and 3.3V power supply.
LCD Signals
The term LCD-signals indicates a feature that is available on select expansion boards. The boards are not LCD-ready for direct plug-in of the LCD screen but an LCD screen can be wired directly to the expansion board.

* The selector tool has been provided to assist in product selection.
2. Samsung LCD Screens
The consoleLCD-vx and consoleLCD16-vx expansion boards are LCD-ready.
The Samsung LTE430WQ-F0C 4.3" TFT LCD screen connects directly to the LCD connector on all gumstix LCD-ready expansion boards.
With the verdex motherboard, there are several ways to connect the Samsung screen:

* This eInk reader has gumstix inside.
* Polymer Vision is using the eInk technology in their Readius products.
Other Notes
* LED driver circuit and 3.3V supply is included on all LCD-ready boards
* On verdex motherboards only 6 bits each of R,G,B is exposed. For basix and connex motherboards only 6-5-6 R-G-B is exposed
